2023 presents a range of huge transformational opportunities! We have a number of very significant events such as Pluto moving into Aquarius, Jupiter changing signs to Aries and Taurus, and Saturn moving into Aquarius and Pisces! In fact there are 5 planets changing signs virtually ensuring a year of constant and humongous change! Pluto in Aquarius is likely to affect you in a multiplicity of different ways up until 2044!
Knowing this in advance you can position yourself ahead of the curve and turn these changes into opportunities for growth, finances, REALationships or anything you are sufficiently conscious enough to choose!

Pluto Return in the USA Continues until 2024
The USA experienced the beginning of its Pluto Return last year and this is bound to have knock-on effects to the entire world. And it only occurs every 248 years because this is how long it takes for Pluto to complete a full orbit around the Sun.
Although Pluto is too small to be technically considered a planet nowadays, it certainly packs a punch! It is associated with the Gates of Hell (recently discovered in Turkey) and the underworld.
In short, Pluto is the planet of birth, death, and rebirth and is one of the Transpersonal Planets.
Along with Neptune and Uranus, it is connected to life after death, bringing about a major transformation – a rebirth can then occur. The Phoenix will again rise from the ashes, proud and strong.
Pluto is also associated with very deep and dark issues. For example abuse, violence, manipulation, addiction, and control. We can expect to see these issues play out more than ever in the USA, especially regarding democracy, politics, and even the US Constitution itself. There could be a rewriting or reinterpretation of the Constitution in the US courts which will have far and wide-reaching consequences for many countries.
However, with Pluto moving into Aquarius in March 2023 (see below), we will see energetic shifts towards technology, humanitarianism and cognitive ability. Intellectualism and science begin to regain their rightful places in society. Genuine people power also becomes more important in governments and corporations. Those in power not ruling in an egalitarian manner are bound to eventually fall. Equal representation for all takes on new meaning and is strengthened over the coming decades, especially up to 2044.

We all have our own personal story reflected in the heavens, and the inexorable movements of the cosmos continue regardless of your individual story. We start 2023 with Mercury, Mars and Uranus all retrograde and turning direct in January which will then give us all a big surge forward in communications, energy, technological advances and perhaps even rebellion!
Mercury, Mars and Uranus all Retrograde ( Starting the Year 2023 )
Mercury in Capricorn, Mars in Gemini and Uranus in Taurus
We start 2023 with both powerful planets appearing to move backwards in the night sky. In REALity, they do no such thing, however from our viewpoint here on Earth they look as if they are. Mars is retrograde until January 12 when it turns direct, giving us more vitality and power to surge ahead with our lives. Mars in Gemini brings lots of energy to our communications and ideas, so it’s best if we manage this energy properly by being measured, thoughtful and considered in all communications. With Mercury also retrograde until January 18 in Capricorn, there could be a tendency towards misunderstandings caused by being too forceful or dominating in our communications. These miscommunications could have real physical effects, so do be especially cautious in putting your message out into the world or attempting to manifest your ideas. Uranus is retrograde until 23rd when it then turns direct, bringing more unpredictability and volatility. There could be much uncertainty, chaos and rebellious ideas that take form.
You will get better results after these planets turn direct and even better results following the end of the shadow periods of these retrogrades, around the May 15 for Mars, January 25 for Mercury and May 9 for Uranus.

Saturn enters Pisces ( 7/3/23 - 24/05/25 )
This is a BIG important influence occurring on March 7 and lasting until May 24, 2025. Saturn is moving away from Capricorn and the systems of large control, restriction and structure. Moving into Pisces, Saturn brings structure and stability to free flowing, imaginative and genuinely spiritual influences.
Pluto enters Aquarius ( 23/3/23 - 11/6/23 )
March 23, 2023 sees another hugely important influence when Pluto moves into Aquarius until June 11. This is just a small taster as Pluto pops back into Capricorn until January 21, 2024 and then returns to Aquarius proper until 2044! With the US experiencing its Pluto Return, the ingress into Aquarius will have major effects also relating to people power.
Jupiter in Aries and Taurus ( In Aries until 16/5/23 - Enters Taurus 25/5/24 )
Jupiter is in Aries up until May 16 when it then ingresses into Taurus until May 25, 2024. In Aries it’s an active and spontaneous time when we will be in planning mode for new beginnings. We will likely be feeling more expansive especially regarding study, travel and new ventures. It’s really important now to ‘look and think before you leap’. In Taurus, in the 2nd half of the year, leaping is only instigated after much thinking, so now it becomes a time of manifestation on the physical plane. It’s time to make your best ideas physical. During 2023 Jupiter brings good luck, generosity and increased finances for some.
Venus in Leo ( 25/6/23 - 3/9/23 )
Venus will be in Leo from June 5, 2023 until September 3, 2023 and it also goes retrograde on July 22, 2023 turning direct September 3. But there’s also a shadow period from June 19 to July 22 and another from September 3 to October 7 when the retrograde energy going off. Whilst retrograde, we may review our relationships and reassess their value. Also, it’s not a good time to start a new relationship or make large financial transactions when Venus is retrograde. If you’re redecorating or renovating during this time, you may find cost blowouts or other things that don’t go to plan. Social events can also go pear shaped. When Venus turns direct, something changes, and we may have to take a new path if we’ve made hasty decisions during the retrograde including getting married or starting a new relationship.

- Annular Solar Eclipse October 15, 2023, at 4:55 pm, at 21° Libra 08′*
- Partial Lunar Eclipse October 29, 2023, at 7:24 am, at 5° Taurus 09′*
Change becomes more important than usual, practise going with the flow in 2023. An eclipse magnifies energy like a Supermoon on caffeine, it rouses you to alertness. It forces us to wake up, go down a path and take action at some point. Eclipses can shake us turbulently to the core in order to effect change. With lunar eclipses in emotional Scorpio and practical Taurus, there’s bound to be a lot of deeply held emotions and practicalities (such as money) to consider. In Air and Fire, we’re likely to change our minds or take spontaneous action, perhaps impulsively.

Ok it’s a bit uphill and down dale, however society is moving into a more compassionate and caring phase which is less materialistic. There’s also a sense of moving forward despite some difficulties especially for dishonest and lazy leaders. It’s important to remember that all things change, and nothing lasts forever, so it’s a great year for reassessing the direction of your life and your relationships. Perhaps you may change jobs this year. You could be called to do something that’s more of a vocation… something that makes your heart sing. As a society, we become more interested in Spirituality and the hidden things beneath the surface. Some of the shine is finally rubbing off fake and inauthentic people and things.
We’re moving on and if we pay attention, we’ll feel it. Positive signs and portents point us in the direction of growth and development.
